Brake fluid has been commonly disregarded by many drivers during regularly servicing. This should not be the case as moisture will be absorbed by the brake fluid along the
braking line though the master cylinder reservoir or the rubber components, even when there are no cracks or tears in the braking line. Brake fluid is hygroscopic in nature. This means that they
draw and attract moisture. If brake fluid is not changed regularly, moisture stays in the system and corrodes the metal components, which will eventually cause malfunction.
Another consequence is the drop in the boiling point of the brake fluid. As moisture is absorbed by the brake fluid, the boiling point will fall. In fact a 1% increase in moisture
results in a 30
