Velway   oils   are  recommended  for  application  to  slide  &  ways  &  planers,  grinders millers,  lathes,  Horizontal  Boring  machines, shapers, jig borers & other machine tools to  eliminate  stick - slip  &  assure  smooth  table action even at slow speeds  &  under  heavy  work  loads  Velway  68  will fulfill most requirements, but where  unusually  heavy  loading  or  special  design  features  require  a  higher    viscosity  Velway  220  is  the  recommended  lubricant.  Velway  oils  can  also be applied  to  bearing  &  gears  of  other  machinery  requiring the special properties of these  oils.  Velway oils have been approved by major manufacturers of machine tools.

Stick - slip  or  the  leap - fros  motion  of  a  machine  tool  table  on its ways is most likely to  occur  when the table is moving slowly & subjected to heavy loads. It causes poor finish, reduces tool life & causes wear. Velway 68 is classified as a medium heavy   way   oil   &   Velway   220   as heavy way oil.

The  special  compounding  plus  the  use  of  highly  refined  base  stock  give  Velway oils  outstanding   stability,   adhesiveness,  extreme  oiliness  &  exceptional  load  carrying ability. They possess excellent metal wetting properties & serve excellently as rust preventives as well as lubricants. Velway oils are non-corrosive to ferrous &   non - ferrous   metals.

Velway  68  &  Velway  220  are  specially  oils  developed  for lubrication of slides,  way  and  intended  to  eliminate  the  phenomenon  of stick - slip in machine tools i.e. works  as   antifriction.
