The Solution: Use a semi-synthetic which contains the same extreme pressure properties as a soluble oil. The AG127 now supplies the requirements needed for these extreme operations.

What is needed is a semi-synthetic that will hold up under extreme pressure but supply superior lubricity and cooling properties. Semi-Synthetics are difficult to formulate with extreme pressure properties but the AG127 has now been able to meet the need. Through extensive on-site testing we have taken our top semi-synthetic and stabilized active extreme pressure structures which now significantly outperform any soluble oil, semi-synthetic, or synthetic you may have tested in the past.

In the past, heavy-duty soluble oils have been used for these types of operations with marginal success. The soluble oils contained sulfur and chlorine extreme pressure packages in a light base oil for optimum flushing. The problem is that in roll tapping, significant heat is generated because of the lack of chips which carry away heat from the built-up edge at the work.

The AG127 was recently developed to address the extreme demands of production tapping, roll tapping, and roll threading.
