Open Gear Lube II (Aerosol) is based on our Gear Lube 2600 ND which is further fortified with molybdenum disulfide and thinned with a solvent to make it sprayable. The aerosol form gives it the advantage of being able to spray on areas which might otherwise be difficult to coat. When the solvent evaporates, it leaves the same tenacious type of self-healing film as the Open Gear Lube 2600 ND and has the same non-drying, water resistant and corrosion protection properties. This product is flammable before the propellant and thinning solvents are evaporated, yet has a very high flash point (> 600?F) when the solvents are evaporated. It is especially useful for hard to reach points and saves a lot of time, work, and money, by not requiring removal of guards or shutting down the equipment to recoat the gears.
