DescriptionA range of high quality, solvent refined, non-additive oils which possess inherently high resistance to oxidation and emulsification, and therefore offer long service life with minimum deterioration of properties during use. These oils have a high viscosity index (HVI), which ensures small changes of viscosity with change of temperature, and are ideally suited for a great variety of lubrication applications over a wide temperature range.ApplicationEnergol CS oils are suitable for:Circulation systems, such as for rolling mills and calendars (both rolling and plain bearing), air-compressors, where oils of low carbon-forming tendency is required, vacuum and centrifugal pumps, and reduction gears of all sizes where non-EP oils are suitable.PerformanceThe Energol CS oils are recommended by machine manufacturers for a wide range of other applications and meet the requirements of David Brown and Crofts gear oil grades and are recommended for hydraulic systems fitted with Lucas hydraulic pumps.AdvantagesGood natural oxidation stability for long service life. Good demulsibility. Any water which may contaminate a lubrication system separates readily from the oil. The highest viscosity index obtainable from a straight mineral oil, which means minimum change in viscosity, with change in temperature. Low pour point, enabling the oil to flow readily at low temperatures, thus minimising the risk of overloading electric motors and switchgear, ensuring rapid flow to all parts of the system at startup. Good appearance. The colour of the Energol CS range varies from almost white to orange peel, depending on viscosity. They are pleasant to use and almost odourless.
