FunctionAfter having taken over Si-wafers for solar PV cells in a metallization process their top surface may not be the desired side for the first printing step. Or it may be the case that both surface sides of the cells need to be printed. Both situations make it necessary that the wafers are turned upside down in the production line. The SFS01 performs a soft and smooth flipping of the wafers. With a specially designed flipping wheel and its optimized movement the mechanical stress on the wafers is minimized to avoid any damage even on microscopic scale. Optionally the flipping function may be de-activated resulting in a simple pass-through mode. This allows high flexibility in the line design and is ideal in case of later changes to process sequences are necessary.
