3.TECHNICAL INFORMATION:

    5  Charge and discharge protection: based on the negative temperature characteristics of the storage battery, the charge and discharge protection modes can be adopted. The charge protection means that the controller can select different charge curve on the basis of the environment temperature, guaranteeing charging the battery fully without overcharge. Before charged to the upper limit voltage (on the basis of the temperature), the storage battery will receive all energy of the solar panel, while the controller will reduce the upper limit voltage of charge to enter into trickle charge when the voltage of the storage battery reaches the upper limit, thus to guarantee charging the battery fully without overcharge. The discharge protection means that the major and minor lamps will be off when the voltage of the storage battery is reduced to the low-voltage protection value (i.e. 10.8 V), so as not to damage the storage battery for over-discharge. The user can set the low-voltage protection value at his discretion according to the value of discharge current, in the principle of that the higher the discharge current is, the lower the low-voltage protection value can be set, contrarily, the low-voltage protection value shall be set higher for the trickle discharge.

    3  Reverse polarity protection: the reverse connection of the polarity of load, solar panel or storage battery can be protected. The fuse will blow on the occurrence of reverse connection, to perform reliable protection.

    2  Back discharge protection: the storage battery can be prevented from back discharge to the solar panel through the controller.

    1  Short-circuit load protection: the built-in fuse will blow on the occurrence of short-circuit load, so as to protect the solar panel, storage battery and controller. After blowing the fuse, the controller can resume normal work by opening the shell and changing a 15A fuse.
