SEALCOAT EA- 100 Bitumen Emulsion is a highly viscose material but may be
Spills or splashes should be washed off immediately with clean water. Once dried it would be necessary to use white spirit or kerosene.
Clean off tools and equipment in clean water to which a small amount of detergent has been added.
Apply the second coat or subsequent coat at right angles to the previous coat. This ensures complete coverage and protection.
Special Instructions
Protect from frost; do not apply SEALCOAT EA- 100 Bitumen Emulsion if rain is expected. The Drying time will be affected and some material may be washed into drains and watercourses. Allow adequate
drying time between coats or intercoat de- lamination may occur.
Protection of Iron and Steel.
Thoroughly prepare the surfaces to remove all traces of rust, scale or other forms of contamination* Apply two coats of Emulsion at the rate of 2 liter/m allowing. The first coat to dry prior to
the application of the second coat.
Priming Prime the entire surface with a solution of SEALCOAT EA- 100 Bitumen Emulsion. Allow to dry. Apply the first coat of Emulsion at a rate of 2 liter/m. whilst applying the coating a reinforcement of fiber glass scrim or rot proof Hessian is laid on the wet coating and a further application of emulsion are brushed into and over the reinforcement Allow to dry. Apply a second coat at the same rate and if required blind of with clean sharp sand.
Concrete or defective asphalt roofs
(After treatment of any expansion joints as detailed earlier)
Concrete columns or beams
After preparation apply two coats of Bitumen Emulsion at the rate of 2 liter/m. Allow the first coat dry prior to the application of the second coat Whilst the second coat is still tacky it must be
completely blinded with clean sharp sand. Allow to cure and gently brush excess sand from the surface prior to the final cladding.
Care must be taken to ensure that the application links up with any damp proof courses. Whilst the second coat is still tacky a layer of building paper should be placed in position to protect the coating during back filling.
Surfaces must be made good. Apply two coats of SEALCOAT EA- 100 Bitumen Emulsion at the rate of 4 liter/m , allowing sufficient drying time between coats.
Apply a coat of SEALCOAT EA- 100 Emulsion 75mm wide either side of the joint but short of the joint by 5 mm. Bed a length of fiber glass scrim into the uncured emulsion and allow drying. A further coat of emulsion is then brushed over the entire treatment. The final coatings are applied in accordance with the full specification.
For covering of existing expansion joints it is important that the following steps are taken.
No sharp angles should be covered, cover the angles prior to application.
Surface Preparation
Concrete surface must be clean and free from all forms of contamination.

Water- Proofing Swimming pools and ponds.
Can be used as a primer and adhesive for prefabricated waterproofing membrane.
Iron and steel against rust and corrosion.
Concrete or defective asphalt roofs.
Concrete columns and beams.
Internal and External coating of concrete and steel pipe.
Particularly recommended for application to the following, Foundations, retaining walls and similar structures liable to be back filled.
2. Field of Use
It dries giving a tough and resilient film that will waterproof, weatherproof and protection. The coating has excellent adhesion properties to most building materials with more than adequate resistance to running or slumping with change of temperature.
SEALCOAT EA- 100 Aqueous Bitumen Emulsion is a high quality liquid bitumen emulsion of brush able or trowel ling consistency.
1. Description
Technical Data Sheet
Aqueous Bitumen Emulsion
The authority of the water and steam analysis Laboratory sealed and signed.
Considering to the out coming results of the sample of bitumen emulsion EA 100, its application in drinking water pipe and containers is allowed.
In the covering area also no rustiness would be observed.
The persistency of the covering EA 100 against immersion in the artificial sea water for the duration of 14 days is ideal.
The qty of the MDOD resulting from the three frequent measuring of solution oxygen is less than 2.4 MG/L; hence the covering against the aquatic Microorganism is resistant.
The oozing of the measured metals (Pb, Ba, AL, Mn, Cd, Co, Fe, Cr, Ni, Ag, Sb) from the EA 100 in accordance with the standard BS 6920 PART 8 is allowed.
By contacting the EA- 100 with drinking water, the color differentiation and opacity of the water will meet the BS6920 part 5 standards.
Results achieved from test of water Base Bitumen emulsion EA100 in accordance with ASTMC541, D2939, BS3416, 6920, are as below: The resistance of EA 100 Emulsion in alkaline and acid media (Chemical conditions stated in the above mentioned standard) is appropriate. The concrete Parts which coated with EA 100 and immersed in water in lab temperature (25+5) after 45 days has not encountered with any blistering phenomena, hence the EA 100 in accordance with ASTMC541 is appropriate.
