Bitumen Compound is a special formulated high grade bitumen, forms durable and providing waterproof protection that designed for sealing joints, cracks and gaps in concrete bricks, walls, weathered galvanized sheet, asbestos sheets, stopping leaks through cracks of roofs of metal and roof tightening. It is also suitable for use on guttering, porous masonry, structured steelwork. Features Excellent adhesion Good water resistance Good weathering resistance Resist to weak acids and alkalis Application Ensure surfaces to be sealed are dry, clean and free from oil, grease or loose material. For sealing cracks in concrete, bricks, and asbestos sheet, first must clean out crack of any dust or loose material, then fill crack with sealing compound using a knife or trowel. For stopping leak round the heads of nails on roof sheet, must apply a coat of sealing compound round the nail heads with a stiff brush. Next, for repairing holes on roof sheet, apply a coating of sealing compound round the hole and cover the hole with a piece of cloth, then paint over the cloth with sealing compound. It takes within 12 hours to set and dry depending on environmental conditions. CleaningClean hands and tools with kerosene when wet and use kerosene or solvents when dry
