Solvent Based Bitumen Paint
EAGLEPAINT-BBP is a solvent based bituminous liquid grade material of low viscosity which dries to form a high quality tough bitumen film. It is used as a protective coating for concrete and steel surfaces.

As a continuous barrier to the passage of water and water vapour
Linings to potable water tanks and pipes
To check rising dampness through solid concrete structures
Vertical damproofing of building prior to glass cladding
Waterproofing of bathroom and shower room floors in villas and apartments
Corrosion protection coating for steel surfaces

METHOD OF APPLICATION
The surface must be clean, dry, and free from oil & grease, loose materials, etc. These should be carefully removed by wire or stiff brushing and finally soft brushing or filtered compressed air to remove dust.

EAGLEPAINTBBP should be thoroughly stirred before use. It is applied straight from the container with standard brush, roller or spray equipment.
Damp-proof membranes, vertical vapour barriers:
Apply first coat of EAGLEPAINT-BBP @ 3 m2/ liter and allow to dry. Apply second coat of EAGLEPAINT-BBP at right angles to the first one.
Water tank and pipe line protection:
Apply 2 coats of EAGLEPAINT-BBP as mentioned above.
Curing compound:
Apply two coats of EAGLEPAINT-BBP as damp proof membranes. This will give 85% curing efficiency which complies with ASTM C309. EAGLEPAINT-BBP can be applied to damp concrete provided there is no free surface water or bleed.
Tools and equipments should be cleaned with EAGLECLEAN-ESD immediately after use.
HEALTH & SAFETY
As with all bituminous products, caution should always be exercised. Protective clothing such as gloves, masks, and goggles should be worn during application. Inhalation of vapor or mist should be avoided.
EAGLEPAINT-BBP contains volatile solvent with low flash point (380C). Ensure adequate ventilation in the working place. Fire and naked flame should be kept at a distance. Containers should be kept tightly closed, away from fire or open flame.
STORAGE
Store under shaded area, out of direct sunlight and protect from extreme temperatures. Shelf life is up to 12 months when stored as above. Failure to comply with the recommended storage conditions may result in premature deterioration of the product.
PACKING:
EAGLEPAINT-BBP is supplied in 20 liter pail and 200 liter metal drum.

WARRANTY
All information are given in good faith on the result gained from experience and test. Recommendations or suggestions are made based on several tests conducted under lab conditions and actual application. However, climatic variation such as temperature, humidity, and possibility of improper application may affect the values.
