Anti-stripping Agent (Adhesion Promoters) are specialised fatty amine additives used to control water damge problems arising due to poor affinity of road aggreates for paving grade Bitumen. They are used in minute quantity (between 0.1% to 0.8% by weight of Bitumen) and provides a protective shield from ingress of water between Bitumen and aggregate interface.
