CARPE DIEM COAL SA Carpe Diem Coal SA (CDC) has actively operated in the South African coal procurement and supply market for many years now. The vision within CDC from the company? inception was to create a business operations environment whereby CDC would be capable of supplying from our own coal mining operations, utilizing our own logistics solutions for delivery and supplying directly to our own customers. This ideology allows CDC the luxury of ring fencing and protecting our coal supply business thereby ensuring long term, cost effective, reliable, quality consistent coal product supply to customers. In affect this vision has become a reality within the company and CDC now affects the procurement of large quantities of coal supply for various blue chip South African companies delivered by both road and rail logistics. The annual coal tonnage required is obtained from several supply mines in the coal fields of the Mpumalanga region of South Africa. To affect this annual coal supply to customers CDC is ably supported by Carpe Diem Logistics (CDL) who supplies the management and operational infrastructure to handle all aspects of the logistics that are required by CDC to affect the deliveries to customers. This company structure has now allowed CDC in conjunction with CDL the luxury of management and operational control over all aspects of coal supply from the mine all the way to the customer. This management of customers coal needs is supported by a sound technical knowledge of coal products within CDC and the affects these products have on the intended application by the customer. CDC also possesses the unique ability to identify any costs factors that may be adversely affecting the coal supply into a customer.
