LNG is warmed back into a gas and delivered into the existing natural gas pipelines. From there it has residential uses (e.g., heating homes, cooking); commercial uses (e.g., heating buildings; providing fuel for natural gas cars, buses, and trucks); and industrial uses (e.g., as a feedstock for certain chemical processes, as a fuel for turbines that produce electricity). The major use of natural gas (and therefore LNG) is as a fuel for producing electricity, and the demand for natural gas in electrical generation is growing steadily throughout the region of many countries.
