Left untreated, the varnishing and sludge agglomerates together to create sticky, high friction deposits on oil wetted surfaces inside the machinery. This leads to erratic valve performance, elevated operating temperatures, and even seizure and seal failure. The electrostatic precipitator uses time tested electrostatic principles to remove existing varnish and sludge. Oil cleaned by the ECR unit will re-absorb even thick hardened deposits in every corner of the lubricating or hydraulic system, and the submicron suspended deposits are circulated back to the unit and permanently removed.
