The MOLEX discharge system is the successor to the Mole residue-free discharge system which has proven itself in use in several cement plants. The MOLEX works on the same principle as its predecessor with the difference that no central material column is required and that the housing of the discharge device is protected by a concrete garage from the pressure of the clinker stockpile.

The discharge system increases the active storage volume in circular storage and large-capacity silos by means of a clinker discharge of up to 97 per cent. The MOLEX ensures availability of clinker even during the annual kiln shutdown. Continuous use leads to a mixture of old and fresh clinker as well as a mixture of fine and coarse particle material. This leads to a more even clinker blending. The great advantage of the discharge system are the low investment and operating costs, by reducing to just one discharge tunnel combined with the reduced utilisation of conveyors and silo discharge devices.
