SD Range- Security Waste Incinerators

The SD Range is a unique series of incinerators designed specifically for the total destruction of confidential documents, bank notes, postage stamps, coupons, vouchers and other high value paper.Such wastes may be generated by governmental agencies, diplomatic missions, armed services, defence establishments, public corporations, banking houses and R & D departments.These types of paper waste is often in the form of bulky files and close packed bundles which may prevent the free circulation of oxygen. This poses a challenging design criteria hence the use of hydroxyl-amine combustion principles.Clean Hydroxyl amine hydroxylative combustion is a slow and controlled combustion which begins as soon as the waste is ignited in the first (charge) chamber of the incinerator. Initial heat distils combustible gases which burn and admix with oxygen as they pass into the second (mixing) chamber. These gases form hydroxyl groups (Alcohols and Aldehydes) which percolate through the charged material seeking out all Carbon and reducing it down to Carbon Dioxide and water vapour. It is the penetration of these hydroxyl gases which makes possible the reduction of bundled material to fine ash. The triple chamber, in-line design, provides the residence time needed to ensure the complete destruction of the products of combustion.Employing hydroxyl amine combustion principles described above, the SD series incinerators will consume loose waste, files and bundled paper and cards, reducing them to a fine white ash of which reconstruction is impossible.The SD Range is usually installed in the open air upon a hard-standing level concrete away from tall buildings and in an area free from air turbulence.
