Marine Incinerators

The 3Ts Series II Marine incinerator has been designed by marine engineers and developed for the marine industry using data supplied by shipbuilders and owners. It is developed as a shipboard incinerator suitable for all types of vessels and off shore rigs.The Series II develops high combustion rates for oil waste, sludge and solid garbage, using a cyclone type combustion chamber. It has a heat release of 400,000 kcal/h and will dispose of sludge oil, water up to 15% and sewage sludge when mixed together. The long resistance period within the unit of the products of combustion produces a clean exhaust with minimal solids.The Marine Series II is IMD approved of Annex V of MARPOL 73/78 by the Marine Safety Agency.This incinerator can be used to dispose of sludge oil up to 50 litres/hr and solid waste class 2 up to 88.5 kg/hr. This is currently in use by international shipping companies world-wide IMO type approval Annex v of MARPOL 73/78. An auxiliary oil fired burner is fitted to ignite the refuse and oil sludge and is thermocouple controlled to maintain minimal fuel consumption. Combustion air is supplied by a forced draught fan which is located on a common frame to the incinerator positioned to the left of the loading door. The loading door for the refuse is manually operated and is interlocked with the burner and FD fan to stop before the door opens and restart after a delay for purging when the door closes.Liquid waste is stored in a special tank supplied with the incinerator and is heated and mixed before being fed to the sludge burner with a metering pump (optional).
