SOME TIPS:

The METHODOLOGY

• The pH : < 8
• The % of residual chlorine : 0.3 to 0.5 mg/L
• The contact time : 30 minutes
• The quality of the water at origin with low turbidity <1UNT (but never over 5UNT), and without ? Escherichia Coli ? and ? Total Coliforms ?, to be tested in 100ml.
• The temperature not too low.

• Water flow between 200 L/H and 200 m3/L
• Proportional Dosing Dispenser.
• Adjustable dosing rate with minimum 0.2 mg/l injection.
• Repeatable Dosing whatever the variation of flow and the turbidity.
• Chlorine concentration: 0.5 at 2 mg/l.
• Reservoir to allow minimum 30 min. contact.

The life of the chlorine dispenser will depend of the volume of water to be treated per day. In the Dosatrons Calculation excel sheet, the estimated life is shown according project details.

• The ratio of main to bypass flow (max 5 units through the main flow for every 1 unit through the bypass).
