Compact Module Sewage Plants
System S&P compact module sewage plants with capacities starting at 6 population equivalents
(PE) clean wastewater of individual houses, housing developments, districts, villages, towns and
cities. The modular design of treatment plants allows the combination with any other treatment
process. Thus System S&PR modules are often used to improve, rehabilitate or to increase the
treatment capacity of existing sewage treatment plants.
3.Final clarification
For the final clarification of remaining solids and sludge from the biological step System S&P
Lamella Separators are used. The function of the Lamella is similar to a settling tank, but by using
sloping lamella inserts it is much more efficient and very easy to control. The projected surface
area given by the Lamella leads to a reduction of the installation area and an optimal separation
process. The treated wastewater is released into receiving water bodies or further treated to be
reused.
2.Biological Step
By using this aerobic process technology odor-free operation is ensured. Biological Disks can
be used for all kinds of processes as carbon elimination, nitrification and denitrification. If requi-
red, advanced treatment for phosphorus removal may be added.
1. Preliminary Treatment
Preliminary treatment removes settleable solids and fiberous particles. This is accomplished by
multi-chamber-pits, septic tanks or automatic screenings (p.e. by rotating drum sieves).
Process Technology
The wastewater treatment is performed by three subsequent treatment stages. The effluent from
domestic, agricultural or industrial sources passes a preliminary treatment step where solids are
separated out and chemical treatment is applied if necessary. The secondary treatment consists
of Biological Disks and Lamella Separators are used for final clarification step. Optional advanced
treatment can be applied.
