The Clarifier which we propose has a removal efficiency of 97-98%, equipped with a circular low profile floatation unit. It has been designed to achieve excellent results with a compact design for ease of installation, reliable operation and low maintenance. The clarifier consists of a circular tank, fed with water to be treated from the centre, toward the bottom of a cylindrical stationary station. The clarifier fed with water to be treated from the centre, toward the bottom of a cylindrical stationary section. This spreads the inlet flow ensuring a smooth and even distribution over the tank area. Coarse material, such as large flocks and light weight contaminants, can float to the surface immediately. From the centre of the Clarifier to the external diameter the current is minimised. The floated area, which commenced formation at the inner diameter, will build up in thickness as it expands to the larger area of the clarifier next to the wall which separates the floated material from clarified water. The floated material is removed by a rotating skimmer. The skimmer has a single scoop at the inner side and a double scoop at the outer side. This unique design favours the even skimming of the floated material and maximises the consistency of the removed sludge. The floated material discharges by gravity from the scoops to the central section of the clarifier. The clarified water collects into the peripheral anular section of the clarifier; this section incorporates the clarified water outlets. Level controls in the clarifier is by an electronic level transmitter and a control valve at the outlet. All wetted surfaces of the clarifier's tank are self-cleaned during operation though a system of bottom and side wiper blades. Settled solids are continously removed by the bottom scraper and conveyed into a build-in sump for periodic purging. The extraction of settled material to be controlled by a timed reject valve.
