IDE is internationally recognized as a pioneer and leader in the delivery of Thermal Distillation plants. IDE's Low Temperature Thermal Distillation units are available in two versions, energy supplied either by a unique electrically driven mechanical compressor - Mechanical Vapor Compression (MVC), or by low pressure steam - Multi Effect Distillation (MED). These systems are capable of producing boiler feed water from sea water in a single step.IDE's Low Temperature Distillation units operate at maximum brine temperatures of less than 70oC. Low distillation temperature is the basis for a series of features creating the highly economical operation that is the core of IDE's MVC / MED units. Features of IDE's Thermal Distillation Process:Pure water can be extracted from tap, brackish and seawater Guaranteed quality of boiler feed product water (less than 10 ppm TDS) Superior reliability and high availability Flexibility of operation with excellent load following capabilitiesIncreased thermodynamic efficiency for reduced energy consumptionOptional utilization of low cost waste heat energy sourcesEconomical construction materialsMinimal corrosion and scale formationShort delivery and installation time Easily expandable modular design Simple operation and easy maintenance Safe and environmentally friendly processes
