The gases need to be Removed from Boiler feed Water before feeding it to the boiler. Oxygen is the main cause of corrosion in hot well tanks, feed lines, feed pumps and boilers. The spray cum tray type deaerator is used to remove the gases, where water and steam is mixed in counter flow direction. The spray nozzles are made of SS316 with spring load where the deaeration happens close to 60%, the balance portion of the gases is stripped by retaining the water in cascading flow and stored in the storage tank.
