Filtration process:
UF is a low pressure process for separating larger size solutes from aqueous solutions by means of a semi-permeable membrane
There are billions of pores distributing in the membrane wall , these pore sizes ranging from 0.005 ~0.10 micron. When feeding solution comes through the membrane under certain pressure, macromolecule solutes such as suspended solids,rust,colloid,bacteria,virus are filtered out along membrane path, solvent and micromolecule solutes permeate the membrane wall becoming filtered water. Hollow fiber membrane have the capability to be backwashed,where the filtered water is pushed backwards through the membrane to remove the accumulated solids on the membrane surface.
