Ultraviolet Water Purifiers

Ultraviolet water purifiers offer rapid water treatment without the use of heat or
dangerous chemicals, often for the lowest cost available by any means. Ordinary
maintenance of these units includes periodic cleaning of the quartz sleeve. Lamp
replacement is recommended every 10,000 hours of operation (approximately
14 months of continuous operation). The units include the required number of
lamps. We recommend that you keep a spare replacement lamp for emergencies.
Units are 120 VAC, 60 Hz. Other voltages available upon request.
Since ultraviolet disinfection is based on the transmittance of UV light and
absorbance of that light by the organisms, it is recommended that the incoming
water be filtered to ensure clarity. Also, we highly recommend that you contact
your local permit-monitoring agency prior to purchasing a UV system. UV
disinfection is not an approved disinfection method in some areas.

These small compact units are easy to install and operate. Each unit
includes the exclusive Easy-Off Retainer Cap for effortless lamp
replacement without shutdown of water pressure or drainage of water tank.

Sanitron Ultraviolet Water Purifiers
2 to 416 gpm
Patented dual-action manual wiper mechanism
Different sizes available, for small personal systems up to small
municipality and industrial systems
All units include a manual wiper that wipes the quartz sleeve clean
and eliminates the need to take the unit off line for cleaning.

Optional Equipment
The Guardian Ultraviolet Monitor is an analog monitor that constantly
checks for the proper operation of the lamp(s). Simply remove the clear
sightport of the UV unit and thread into place. Available for Mightypure
and Sanitron models.

The Sentry Safety Sensor provides constant visual monitoring with pilot
lamps that indicate normal operation or an alarm condition. In the event of
a power or lamp failure, the sensor can operate an optional solenoid valve
that stops water flow and can sound the optional audio alarm.

The Audio Alarm plugs into the Guardian UV monitor or the Sentry safety
sensor and will give off an audible alarm when a malfunction is detected.

The Time-Delay Mechanism is used with the optional solenoid valve.
During startup or in the event of a power outage, it signals the solenoid to
close for two minutes. This allows the UV system to completely warm up,
ensuring that the lamps are at full power.

PVC Flow Control Valves are placed near the inlet of the UV systems to
ensure that the incoming water flow does not exceed the rated capacity,
which would yield inefficient disinfection.

Elapsed Time Indicator provides a real-time, non-resettable display
of purifier operating hours. Useful for scheduling maintenance and
lamp replacement.
