Air diffusers used for water and waste water treatment as well as many other applications including; landfill site lagoon aeration, thermal destratification of lakes, ponds and canals, aquaculture fish farming and degassing applications.Air diffusers are usually solid or membrane types. The solid diffusers suffer from problems due to fouling by carbonates. If the diffusers are used in hard water above 300mg/l as caco3 then the diffusers will likely block and fail after 6 months. Membrane diffusers do not suffer from blockages, however they have to be anchored to the base of aeration channels and they wear out after a year. This arrangement does not make them easy to use. The dryden aqua air diffuser is 32mm in diameter and measures up to 3000mm in length. The diffusers are of a semi flexible construction and they have their own internal weight. This means that the diffusers are very easy to clean and maintain, also they do not need to be anchored to the base of an aeration channel. The diffusers can be used in lagoons, earth ponds or tanks. Installation is simple, fit an air ring main around the perimeter of the tank. Connect onto the air ring main with 12mm flexible hose. The hose goes over the side of the tank and down to the bottom of the tank. The diffuser is then connected onto the end of the hose. The diffuser is then simply dropped into the tank. This arrangement makes for very easy installation, or retrofitting an aeration system to an existing system.Dryden aqua diffusers have been in use for more than 20 years and have proved to be reliable, robust, very easy to use and maintain, as well as providing the most efficient oxygen transfer of any diffuser available.
