LW Series Horizontal Screw Discharge Sedimentation Centrifuge is one of main device for the sludge dewatering system. It mainly consists of high speed rotary drum, screw (with same rotational direction as rotary drum and certain rotation speed difference), speed differentiation device and machine stand, etc. When sludge enters into the lumen of rotary drum of the centrifuge, high speed rotary drum will produce large centrifugal force, because of large density, mud granules will produce large centrifugal force, the sludge will become sediment on inner wall of the rotary drum and form ring shaped solid phase sludge cake. Because of small density, water will produce small centrifugal force, it will only form liquid circle layer inside the solid circle layer. Due to different rotational speed between the rotary drum and screw, there exists a relative movement (i.e. speed differentiation). The screw will push sludge to exit of small end of the rotary drum, the water will exit from another end. The function of speed differentiation device is to produce certain rotational speed difference between the rotary drum and the screw. To put the flocculation agent into sludge may produce flocculation effect. It enables dispersed sludge granules to gather and form relatively large flocculation substance so as to speed up separation of sludge and water.
