THIS ROMTEC UTILITIES SYSTEM INCLUDES
A large residential subdivision planned for Union City, California would redeveloped land previously used by an electrical power company. Due to lack of capacity in the existing storm drainage
channel, a 20-million gallon stormwater detention basin was required. To drain it after storms a detention basin pumping system was needed.
Romtec Utilities designed and supplied the complete package storm water pump station for the project. Following storms the stations two submersible pumps transfer water to the Line M drainage
channel. At times when the channel is already too full to receive more water, a liquid level sensor informs the pump station to delay pumping until the channel level falls. At full power, two
pumps, each producing 1581 GPM @ 24.4' TDH, drain the detention basin @ 3100 GPM.
