Future product offerings will include butterfly shrimp, breaded shrimp and other selected products; however, our focus will remain on producing a high quality, natural shrimp product that is
superior to other offerings.
Each product will be individually quick frozen (IQF) and packaged in one-pound quantities in plastic resealable pouches. The package label will clearly display Ocean-caught Shrimp and that the shrimp are a U.S. product. If possible, the company will attempt to identify the state from which the shrimp came, though the feasibility of that is currently unknown. Shrimp intended for shipment to restaurants will be IQF and packaged in larger plastic bags containing between 10 and 25 pounds of shrimp, depending on the needs of the restaurant.
SC Shrimp will begin with a limited set of shrimp products that will include Peeled & Deviened, Tail-on cooked shrimp and E-Z Peeled & Deviened raw shrimp. E-Z peeled & deveined shrimp has the head removed and the back of the shell split down the middle. The vein along the back of the shrimp is removed in the deveining process. E-Z peeled refers to the ability of the consumer to easily peel the shell halves from the meat. Both product categories will be available in five different sizes: 21-25, 26-30, 31-40, 41-50 and 51-70 shrimp per pound.
