We extract the contents of seaweed cells from the seaweeds as gently as we can. Many of the most beneficial and active ingredients in seaweed are vulnerable to heat and are damaged by most conventional processing. Our extraction processes are the least destructive of any because we do not dissolve seaweeds into a solution. We are the only manufacturer of fertilizer products that is actually a processor of seaweeds, and we have been processing since the 70s. Quality means everything to us.

As leaf senescence increases, chlorophyll content decreases and so does photosynthesis.  So at the very time the turfgrass plant needs to produce more carbohydrates to survive, it cant because it cant produce the cytokinins necessary to delay senescence and stop the hemorrhaging of chlorophyll out of its leaves.

The seaweeds we use contain high concentrations of cytokinins. In seaplants, cytokinins play key roles in boosting stress tolerance and survival potential under a wide variety of conditions. Similarly, in land plants, cytokinins are critical to plant survival under extreme cultural and environmental stresses. For example, turfgrasses lose their ability to produce cytokinins as soil temperatures warm. Cytokinins are critical in preventing high temperature induced leaf senescence and wilt.

As the tides ebb and flow, they are alternately, at low tide, completely exposed on the rocks theyre attached to, and at high tide, completely submerged in salt water. In the summer they withstand air temperatures that exceed 100? F when exposed, then quickly tolerate frigid water temperatures when submerged. In winter, air temperatures plunge below -10? F, and water temperatures dip below freezing. They go through these cycles twice a day every day of their lives. Through these extremes, these seaweeds manage to feed themselves entirely through their foliage.
