- Canned products                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Within the group we have canneries based in the East. offering a range of canned tuna and canned pilchard products.  This makes us very competitive when it comes to pricing.

Other Products

Our main focus is Tuna.  The species include Albacore (Thunnus Alalunga) Big Eye (Thunnus Obesus) Yellow Fin (Thunnus Albacares) and Skipjack (Katswonus Pelamis). Depending on the water temperature our local season can start from September/October and ends around June/July. The fishing grounds the fleet operates in are Cape Town, Hout Bay, Namibia and Angola. In these areas we have a supply of around 10 000 tons per season and specialise in both frozen and fresh fish exports. All cargo being packed for export to the EU market is is fully certified by NRCS.

Global fish has approximately 45 independently owned South African and Namibian registered pole and line, freezer and ice fishing vessels who supply us with their catches of tuna species throughout the year. The fisherman have years of experience and many of them are owner/skippers. on a regular basis health and safety inspections are conducted on the fishing vessels to ensure a high standard of quality and handling of the fish is maintained on board the vessel.
