Soft Shell Crab

A worldwide favorite for their sweet, flavorful white meat. Soft crabs have shed their hard outer shells (a process called molting). Harvested from the water just prior to molting, these crabs are fed until they shed their shells. Then precisely this soft, succulent stage, they are processed and quick frozen. The Soft Crab is a very "clean" seafood, because the crab will stop eating about 3 days before it molts. Its digestive system is clean, and it is just like a cleaned fresh fish. A seafood delicacy like no other, available breaded or plain (raw with no breading), easy to prepare and always a memorable feast. Primes are the most popular (middle) size with consumers and the most economical to buy. The product comes packed with 24 individually wrapped crabs per box at an average weight per piece of about 90 grams.
