Store jerky in a cool, dry place, preferably in the refrigerator or freezer.

Dry jerky at the deydrator's highest temperature and continue to dry until leathery.

For cut sliced meat place spice packet and cure packet with 1/4 cup water. Place marinade sauce and meat in a storage bag, seal and shake to mix completely. Refrigerate meat and marinate for 2 to 8 hours or overnight. We find Vacuum Packing will enhance the marinade through the meat.

1 pound lean ground beef or ground venison with 1 packet each Nesco?/American Harvest? jerky spice and cure. Thoroughly mix meat, spice and cure together in a bowl. Form into strips using the NESCO?/American Harvest? Jerky Works Kit. Place meat strips on your Nesco/American Harvest? dehydrator trays, and dry at its highest temperature setting for 5 to 8 hours, or until done.
