From whence it came - "A Taste of Heaven in Every Jar" The Pastor's Original Sauce has been in my family for over 100 years. The recipe was developed by my great, great, great grandmother on a sugar plantation in Jamaica and it was used mainly for special occasions such as birthdays and holidays. For generations, the recipe was handed down until it reached me in 1976. After years of working in the food business and testing 95 percent of the sauces on the market today, I perceived the need for a better tasting, more exciting sauce. Based on this need, it was my vision to create a full-scale sauce business using the family recipe as its core. First, there was Damiens Original Sauce, a crowd pleaser and a proven winner. However, something was missing. I wanted to create a sauce that would stand alone so I experimented with the base recipe, I followed strict family guidelines set forth by my great, great grandmother the original sauce master, ignoring fads fillers and quick fixes and then the Pastor's Original Sauce was created. Following the family tradition of slow mixing and a special ingredient aging process the Pastor's Original Sauce was born the Apex of Perfection among sauces! Now the Pastor's Original Sauce can be used for more than just special occasions it can be used with just about anything! My unique sauce, with its rich history of Jamaican roots, family pride, and culinary excellence, has an unparalleled balance of sweet, yet tangy flavors.
