Maltose syrup M45 HG is quite viscous, clear or yellowish liquid, moderately sweet taste (app. 70% less sweet than sucrose), with slightly detectable smell of corn starch hydrolysate. It is produced by dual enzymatic hydrolysis of corn starch and composed of 55 % of maltotriose and high sugars, 40 % of maltose and up to 5 % of glucose.Maltose syrup M45 HG is stable in pasteurization and short term sterilization processes on temperatures above 120
