Brazilian Sugar

Procedures:
1) Buyer issues a LOI + RWA or BCL 2) Seller issues FCO
3) Buyer sign, seal and return the FCO
4) Seller issues Draft Contract 5) Buyer sign, seal and return the Contract, seller sign the Contract and return to the Buyer 6) Buyer and Seller deposit a copy of the executed Contract to their respective Banks.
7) Within 3 (three) banking days, Buyer Bank sends a Non-operative SBLC or BG for total shipment value to the sellers Bank
8) Within 48 hours Seller's Bank sends Proof of Products (POP) + PB 2% via Swift Bank to Bank methods to the Buyers Bank
9) SBLC or BG operative.
10) Shipment.

The following sale procedures are used

The shippers finance the sugar until it is sold. A high proportion of the sugar is sold through specialist brokers

The shippers buy the sugar from the co operatives and often provide finance for the growers

The farmers grow the sugar which is processed through co operative factories in NE Brazil.
