Each bottle label has batch code (e.g. L23107) and best before date (B.B. 31.8.09) stamped on at time of labelling. Bottle carries barcode, and outer pack/case an EAN barcode.
Juice is filled into attractive green glass bottles and capped with special burgundy-red metal screw cap which after removal does not leave a metal ring on the bottle, making recycling free of metal traces.
We purchase locally grown organically certified apples, press them on our farm, and pasteurize and bottle the juice. No preservatives, colourings, sweeteners, or added water are used. The Soil Association organic certification implies no GMO ingredients. The only addition during the production process is ascorbic acid (vitamin C) which acts as an anti-oxident.
We are one of the oldest producers of certified organic English apple juice in UK, having been in prouction since 1992. Production was previously done under Sedlescombe Organic Vineyard, nowadays under Organic Country Drinks Ltd. Both companies are independent family businesses run by the Cook family led by husband & wife team Roy and Irma Cook.
