The South American Ostrich , also known in the international market as Argentine Rhea is the largest running bird in South America and it is native of Argentina. The South American Ostrich is a relative of the ostrich , originally from Africa , and the Emu from Oceania . Additionally, this bird is in danger of extinction, but thanks to the work and promotion that our affiliated company we preserve and enhance the existence of this wonderful example of nature that is being made known to the world . We commercialize all derivates from the S. A. Ostrich , such as the meat , leather , feathers , eggs , oils and other sub-products .Our represeted has the most developed animal bio-security regimes and infrastructure in the production of these endemic birds . In this way we ensure generating a total quality cycle of animal welfare , starting in its birth , going through development in a well-kept physical environment , till it is processed . These processes , always trying to increase the quality , allow obtaining the better exportation quality products .Its farm (12 hectares) is located in Buenos Aires Province , Argentina . It was designed under norms from Animal Welfare . Hence , we ensure the quality of the animal at all stages . We have 200 reproducing animals that conform the genetic base of production.We count on the following facilities : Laboratory / Incubation room / Birthroom / Nursery/ Raise and growth corrals .- Laboratory : Has an hygiene and desinfection area where collected eggs are treated , reducing bacteria loads on their surfaces , decreasing the probability of contamination at the incubator . Also, there is another area for birth control and veterinary analysis for early stages .- Incubation room : Designed under the protocols of BPM (good management production practices) to guarantee bio-security , with a capacity for 3400 eggs simultaneously , thermal control and back-up as well as moisture throughout the process .- Nursery : Designed specifically for the chicks ; has multiple sections of approx. 15 m2 , with concrete floor or rice husk . Every section has a heating lamp regulating and providing the appropriate temperature and preparing them for the corrals . - Raise and growth corrals : Eleven hectares with cropping and perimeter and rhomboidal intermediate wire fencing , checked regularly to avoid animal injury or escape . Animals live here until processed or until they join the reproductive group . This farms is duely regulated by the Fauna government department , feeding their animals based on natural pastures and balanced ration under the supervision of specialized professionals , in order to obtain a superior quality in their products such as : meat , leather , feathers , eggs and oils .We are a professional group that manages export and import bzns within diverse products such as mineral water , red wine , ostrich meat n sub products , seafood , etc. , and have been doing business with China for more than 10 years now .
