The Ostrindo Meats abattoir was established in 1993 as Bulawayo Ostrich Processers. The abattoir was then taken over by P.T. Royal Ostrindo in 2003 and is located in the Cold Storage Companys Bulawayo export abattoir site. The abattoir and deboning facilities are approved by the European Unions Veterinary Authorities for export to Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. Our meat has been supplied through supermarket contracts in Belgium, Germany and Switzerland and we are delighted to have secured upper market contracts in France during 2005. This was the first time Zimbabwe meat was sold to France, let alone superior markets such as Thiriet, Nestle as well as the largest restaurant chain in France, Buffalo Grill.
