By the late 1990s Sam began noticing that more people had food allergies than ever before, especially children. As a lifelong farmer, he suspected that perhaps the chemicals and additives used to enhance yields were the culprits. In 1998, Sam launched Sam Yoder Farm and Storea farm-to-table food operation committed to raising healthy, wholesome beef, pork, poultry and produce naturally and locally.

Sam Yoder is a man who has dedicated his life to finding a better way to do just about everything. Early in his career as a buyer in the poultry industry he recognized the need for better-built chicken houses on Delmarva. This led him to establish , a company that manufactures top-quality trusses for commercial and residential buildings, in 1978.
