Meats from Animals raised exclusively on quality pastures are the healthiest meats available. Raised correctly, they are a superior eating experience. Our cattle herd is comprised of small framed angus and angus cross cattle developed to live on grass. The steers we harvest for beef are finished on native annual grasses each spring. Finishing is the process of the meat taking on internal fat which adds tenderness and flavor. Meat from cattle finished on quickly growing grasses contains higher amounts of healthy fats like CLA and Omega-3. The meat is also tender due to the lack of stress in our animals lives. Our pastures are not chemically fertilized and no pesticides or herbicides are used. Animals are rotationally grazed and offered supplemental certified organic minerals to avoid the need for chemical wormers. These cattle stay on the ranch until harvest allowing them to grow fat while sitting under a tree on green pasture rather than in a commercial feedlot. The high sugar content of our native annual grasses allows for a sweet and tender beef. All of our beef is USDA harvested and inspected at a small plant less than 1 hour from the ranch. We offer whole and half beef by preorder and cuts of beef at most times of the year. Orders for whole and half beef may be placed from Jan - April. Beef is harvested in late May and available from June until we run out which is usually in the winter some time.
