The primary raw material used in the production of mageu is maize meal, which is mostly procured from Ruto Mills at market prices.

The division operates a fleet of 24 delivery vehicles with which it services smaller retail outlets, mines and distribution agents. However, most of its products are distributed by Clover-Danone which also acts as its primary sales and marketing agent. In addition to Mageu Number Ones sales and distribution relationship with Clover-Danone, it holds a manufacturing contract with the dairy distributor for the production of mageu in KwaZulu-Natal.

Mageu Number One operates from Pretoria. Most of the carton and sachet products are manufactured at the Pretoria site, as well as the bulk Mageu, primarily for the mining industry. 

The Mageu Number One division produces all of Foodcorps mageu products, which are distributed throughout South Africa as well as Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland.
