1) Immunoglobulins - Immunoglobulins are the most important components of colostrum. These are special immune cells produced by the body in response to the host being exposed to foreign substances (antigens) such as infectious microbes. Bovine colostrum contains all five classes immunoglobulins found in human colostrum which are IgG, IgA, IgM, IgE, and IgD. The most abundant immunoglobulin is IgG.
