Snack Crops handles a volume of 25000 tons per year and as a wholly Argentine company is one of the country s leading suppliers of popcorn to markets that include Europe, Middle and Far East, Africa and Latino America. The company is able to process 20 tm per hour with a storage capacity of 18000 tm in its main Pehuajo plant. The production process is based on a storing and classifying system that incorporates all the necessary environmental and product requirementes. After the harvest, the popcorn is received in its natural state and is stored in silos for processing. Once it is dried through a ventilation system, the popcorn is classifieds according to size, them according to density and lastly by optical instrument according colour, kernel by kernel. The pop is also been through detectors in search of ferrous and non ferrous metals. The product is certified as free of modified organisms (GMO FREE).
