Northern Delights Fine Inuit Herbal Teas

Here is a brief introduction of our company: The AVATAQ Cultural Institute, a non profit making organisation, have the regional mandate to foster and promote Inuit traditional knowledge to future generations (language, folklore, traditional medicine, food, etc.) Our research in traditional use of both flora and fauna in the region by Inuit is well documented. This initiative builds on this knowledge and aims to reintroduce this information to the communities in a viable commercial environment that will both stimulate job creation and providing a new approach of securing economic benefit from the flora of the region. We have created the Avataq Corporation Inc. And developed Northern Delights, five herbal teas that are based on research of Inuit tradition and culture. Our herbal tea blends are made out of biologic handpicked wild tundra plants and are a true representation of herbal teas historically used by the Inuit of Nunavik. Their unique flavours and aroma will provide a unique experience of the richness of the northern flora and the culture of the Inuit. All the profits are used to finance the cultural institute.
