Black tea is a fully oxidized (fermented) tea that delivers a classic hearty cup of tea. When the leaves are left to oxidize in the drying process, many amazing flavors and aromas develop in the leaves. High quality black teas are truly delightful and make a great iced tea. In addition more caffeine is unlocked in the oxidation, making these teas higher in caffeine. Shorter steeps will produce tea that has great flavor without the strong heaviness of a common over steeped tea. Many are used to milk and sugar in their morning black tea.
