This Premium Organic Sencha is our highest graded organic sencha harvested in Nagata Chaen (Nagata Tea Garden).
The leaves used are the 1st harvest tea leaves.
Usually the 1st harvest tea leaves are used for Gyokuro or Matcha, therefore this organic sencha is made of the highest of the high grade of all Sencha.
The first harvest sencha developes a perfect balance of sweetness and astringency that is different from regular sencha.
It is called "Steamed Green Tea" because tea leaves are first steamed and further processed with hot-air drying.

Use 2 teaspoons per 16 to 24 oz pot.
Hint: Increase water temperature higher to enjoy an earthy aroma and more astringincy, while a lower temp will produce an sweeter, fuller-bodied cup.
