According to the history materials, even from Tang Dynasty the public already regarded Rock Tea as a favorite gift. During the period of Song and Yuan Dynasty, it had been listed as Articles of Tribute. In Yuan Dynasty, the Baking Bureau and the Imperial Tea Garden had been set-up in Wuyi Mountain. While in the years of Kanxi, Qing Dynasty, Rock Tea had been sold throughout the world including the West Europe, North America and South Asia; at that time, the European thought that the Rock tea was the general title of all Chinese tea.
