A small room full of children's clothes
is to reduce the burden on parents who need it. Tucked into the top floor
of North Bay Community Church, the Free ReStore Closet is available to anyone in the community. It offers a private experience for parents confidential business. The program, said the
volunteers have been a blessing for all involved.
The Rev. Curt Vanderstelt, pastor of North
Bay, remembers helping a parent choose clothes for her three
children. He found the clothes for each of the children and looking through the clothes of her daughter.
"He opened the box of the girls and began to mourn," said Vanderstelt.
"Right on top was a little dance team. It was exactly
what I expected to find her daughter.
"There it was, right at the top of the stack. It was a really nice experience."
Colleen Delich ReStore volunteers in the closet. One
day, she helped a mother with four children, who had just left an abusive
relationship.
