HEPPSO BUFFER CAS NO.68399 78 0
Heppso buffer can form free radicals, so it is not suitable for redox reaction. Heppso forms a complex with Cu (II) ions, so the stability constant and concentration should be considered when using
this buffer in solutions containing copper ions. Although heppso is combined with copper ion, it is still suitable for the determination of dioctenic acid (BCA). Protein induced color reduction can
be diluted or eliminated by precipitation of protein before reaction with dioctenic acid.
Heppso Buffer Product Description
Heppso buffer is widely used in biochemical experiments and belongs to good's series buffer. It is a zwitterionic piperazine buffer with an effective pH in the range of 7.1 – 8.5. It is usually
used as an amphoteric separator to produce a pH gradient in isoelectric focusing. Heppso is not toxic to crustaceans that have been studied and is considered suitable for toxicological studies.
Detailed Introduction of Heppso Buffer
The full name of heppso is 3 - (hydroxyethyl piperazine) - 2-hydroxypropanesulfonic acid, CAS No. 68399-78-0, and the appearance is white powder. The working pH range of heppso buffer is 7.1-8.5,
and the pKa value at the concentration of 2.0 mm buffer is 7.84, which has high solubility in water. As a zwitterionic buffer, it has a wide range of applications.

Heppso Buffer Precautions
Heppso powder needs to be sealed and stored. After preparing the solution, it should be prepared and used immediately to avoid long-term contact with air and affecting the use effect;
When preparing solvent, clean the container more than 3 times to avoid exchange with other substances;
Take the quantity strictly according to the experimental requirements, otherwise the experimental effect will be affected;
If you accidentally touch the skin, please wash it with clean water immediately. If it is serious, you need to see a doctor as soon as possible.
