The details of the U channel steel

1 Definition: channel steel(also called Hot Rolled Channel Steel,/carbon mild structural steel u channel ) is long-strip steel with channeled cross sections, or section steel in the section shape of channel.
2 Representation method: its specifications are represented by waist height (h)*leg width (b)*waist thickness (d) mm, for example, 100*48*5.3 represents the channel steel with 100mm waist height, 48mm leg width and 5.3mm waist thickness, or 10# channel steel. If channel steel with the same waist height has several different leg widths and waist thicknesses, a, b and c should be added to the right sides of their models for distinction, such as 25#a 25#b 25#c, etc.
The delivery length of channel steel is divided into fixed length and double length, and has stipulated allowance values in corresponding standards. The lengths of channel steel are determined according to actual demands of customers.
3 Category: GB, JIS; common carbon channel steel (Q235), low-alloy channel steel (Q345); hot-rolled channel steel, light channel steel, cold-bent channel steel
